Position: Behaviour Support Practitioner
Location: Regional - travel via your own car essential
Contract type: Full Time 40 hours Monday
- Friday 9am-5pm
Rate: Up to £27,648 + £3,000 car allowance
Interviews: will be conducted at the Exemplar Health Care Support Centre in Sheffield. 17 Europa View, Sheffield Business park. S9 1XH
Join us as our new Behaviour Support Practitioner.
About the roleIn this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting people who display behaviours of concern and the colleagues who care for them. You’ll develop, deliver and evaluate training programmes from both psychological and physical perspectives. You’ll also support our care‑home based colleagues to develop behaviour support plans, review behaviour records and role‑model effective management of behaviours of concern.
No two days will be the same, but your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development, delivery and evaluation of training programmes
- қатарлиқ supporting our care homes to organise and deliver training to ensure company targets are met
- Using excellent presentation skills to present a range of new and unfamiliar concepts to staff at all levels, managing varying levels of understanding
- Measuring and evaluating learning outcomes to include how learning is embedded in practice
- Supporting clinical teams in reducing the frequency, severity and impact of violence and the use of restrictive interventions
- Providing support to colleagues aroundajan managing behaviour during difficult times, such as when someone’s mental health is deteriorating
- Reviewing incident statistics and evaluating incident reports in individual homes, providing support and additional training where required

About you- Have a valid driving licence & own a car
- Have a level 2 health and social care qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- cutoff Excellent presenter, able to deliver information to people with varying understanding
- Have a caring and sensitive nature
- Have a keen eye for detail, able to spot areas for improvement
- Know how to treat people with compassion, dignity and respect
- Be an excellent team player
- Be able to communicate with a range of people, including those who use communication aids
