Location:

Remote (must have Massachusetts state license). Compensation: $40–$50/hr (part-time).

Side By Care provides gut‑brain therapy with diet & lifestyle support in a virtual care service covered by insurance. 90% of clients report symptom improvement by 6 weeks! Side By Care leverages scalable technology & behavioral science‑backed approaches to uncover root causes and promote lifelong health. We understand the complexities and challenges associated with functional GI disorders/DGBI because we have been there ourselves.

This combination of experience and expertise has culminated in a purpose‑built, personalized, and client‑first care program that offers guidance, support, empathy, and improved outcomes for those we serve.

• Counsel patients on nutrition and sustainable lifestyle changes to support GI and overall health.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy for GI disorders.
• Appropriately document encounters.
• Create lifestyle‑focused care plans.
• Work cooperatively as a team member.
• Participate in care coordination meetings with team members.
• Promote a healthy relationship with food, exercise, and self for patients.
• Communicate as needed with care team and patients outside of their sessions.

• RD/RDN credential from the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• RD license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Master’s Degree (preferred).
• Must have your own NPI.
• CAQH Login (preferred).
• 2–3 years of nutrition counseling experience.
• Ability to respond to patient messages after‑hours.
• Alignment with holistic approach.
• Excitement to learn new skills to deliver the Side By Care model.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain rapport with providers and patients.
• Private home office space with reliable internet connection.

• Experience working with individuals with GI disorders.
• Functional and integrative health understanding.
• Outpatient/Telehealth experience.
• Understanding of disordered eating.
• Familiarity with mental health treatment.
• Working with patients to improve sleep, stress management, exercise and other lifestyle changes to benefit gut health.

• Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and compassionately with clients, medical providers, and team members.
• Is professional and respectful in all forms of communication and correspondence.
• Proficient in Google Suite/Workspace, at least one electronic medical record (EMR) system, Zoom (or a comparable remote platform for Telehealth), and Slack.
• Shows strong initiative, good judgment, and informed decision making to achieve organizational objectives.
• Has an uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and puts clients first.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of personnel, fiscal, and private health information.
• Likes to work in an environment with rapidly changing client care needs.
• Comfort in working with medical professionals.
