Affera Mapping Specialist - CAS
Medtronic invites a dedicated professional to join our team as an Affera Mapping Specialist in the Cardiac and Ablation Services (CAS) group. This remote position requires residency within the assigned territory and traveling to multiple accounts to provide clinical and technical support for EP mapping and navigation systems.
Job OverviewAs a member of a collaborative team, you will deliver mapping solutions for cardiac and electrophysiological systems, train and support physicians and staff, and contribute to achieving regional sales objectives. Your role will influence product adoption and improve patient outcomes across the territory.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on EP mapping and navigation systems and all CAS products.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters related to CAS products and procedures.
- Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
- Support national, regional and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals for all CAS products.
- Develop and cultivate customer relationships that result in incremental business.
- Partner with Account Manager, Regional Manager, and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products.
- Communicate with the sales and clinical teams in the region.
- Act as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding products, service and support.
- Serve regionally as a champion to share experience and influence others to become proficient in mapping technology.
- High school diploma plus a minimum of 6 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation; OR
- Associate degree plus a minimum of 4 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation; OR
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
- B.A./B.S. in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline with at least four years’ experience in the cardiac field, hospital/clinic or sales.
- Proven track record with technical training assignments.
- Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, hospital/clinic, or EP medical sales providing technical/clinical support.
Job Requirements
- Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
- Required to be within assigned territory each day for unscheduled needs.
- Occasional travel outside the assigned territory, possibly overnight.
- Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; driving 25‑50% of the time.
- Ability to use a phone, keyboard and mouse, be visually able to interact with computers.
- Must be able to stand/sit/walk for 8 hours a day.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
