About Our Service

We support three active gentlemen aged between 60-68 who have a learning disability and are great friends. They all live independent, fun and active lifestyles. It is a busy home, from going on days out, train spotting, socialising, and seeing friends.

What does a Support Worker do?
  • Supporting people to live independently, budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building, supporting those we care for to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion – helping individuals access and participate in local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
  • Personal care – assisting people with medication, bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Not all support worker roles include high levels of personal care.
  • All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
