Senior Account Executive, Self‑Funded

The Senior Account Executive, Self‑Funded is responsible for Plan revenue growth by generating and implementing new group business in self‑insured markets. This position is integral to the development and maintenance of key business relationships and is a highly visible face of the Plan in a complex and competitive marketplace. In a consultative capacity, the Senior Account Executive ensures Producer/Consultant training and productivity and facilitates cross‑selling revenue enhancement to maximize Providence Health & Services penetration with Workplace Health Services opportunities.
The role collaborates with top‑tier brokers and consultants to deliver innovative solutions to large employers with 2,500+ employees.
- Generate and implement new group business in self‑insured markets.
- Develop and maintain key business relationships.
- Serve as a highly visible representative of the Plan.
- Provide consultative support and training for producers/consultants.
- Facilitate cross‑selling revenue enhancements to maximize Workplace Health Services penetration.
- Collaborate with top‑tier brokers and consultants to deliver innovative solutions to large employers with 2,500+ employees.
Portland, Oregon (4400 NE Halsey St, Providence Health Plaza). Daily commute within 25–30 miles is welcomed for residents.
TravelTravel throughout an assigned territory on a weekly basis.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or experience in all aspects of Health Plan commercial group benefits with a proven ability to self‑motivate and problem‑solve.
- 10 or more years of successful insurance industry sales, including both fully insured and self‑insured experience.
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Must comply with all state laws and requirements for driving, provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
- Experience selling self‑insured business, and complex benefit and financial structures.
- Current Health Insurance Producer License for either Washington State or Oregon.
Pay Range: $48.27 – $76.22 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
