Senior Medical Writer - Clinical Manuscripts (Full‑Time)

JSS Medical Research is a global full‑service clinical research organization (CRO) with strong academic affiliations. The organization provides expertise in the design and implementation of clinical studies across all phases of development, including Phase I, II, III, and post‑approval research. Known for its methodological excellence, JSS Medical Research supports clients throughout the entire product lifecycle and across therapeutic indications.

Role Description

This full‑time hybrid role for a Senior Medical Writer - Clinical Manuscripts offers flexibility for remote work. The Senior Medical Writer will develop scientific, medical, and pharmaceutical content for various therapeutic areas, focusing primarily on manuscripts, abstracts, and poster development. The position involves minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scientific literature searches and reviews.
  • Participate in the development, critical review, and editing of manuscripts for submission to medical journals, and abstracts and posters for presentation at scientific conferences.
  • Prepare other types of clinical study documents (e.g., clinical study reports, study protocols) as needed.
  • Ensure adherence of document content and style to appropriate journal, conference, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH‑E3).
  • Produce high‑quality content quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Provide good internal and external customer service.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of essential study documents and other documentation.
  • Communicate with industry and academic investigators, clients, and study sponsors for medical writing projects.
  • Mentor and train more junior medical writing staff.
Qualifications
  • Extensive prior experience in writing peer‑reviewed clinical manuscripts, evidenced by authorship, acknowledgments, or other inclusion.
  • Extensive knowledge of English grammar with full professional proficiency verbal and written.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with AMA style guide.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, graphics software, and citation/reference software.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and ability to interpret statistical results.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in life sciences, medicine, epidemiology, or a related field.
