Certified Surgical Technologist 4 - 3F Operating Rooms - ( 250004IS )

The Certified Surgical Technologist 4 is a vital member of the surgical team, working under the supervision of a licensed professional while taking on advanced leadership responsibilities in patient care. As an expert practitioner, the Certified Surgical Technologist 4 performs complex tasks in the perioperative setting, ensuring a sterile environment, equipment functionality, and supporting both invasive and non‑invasive procedures to optimize patient safety.

This role requires in0depth knowledge of aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical tools, and advanced surgical practices, all executed in alignment with the mission and values of Tampa General Hospital.

• Education:
  
  Degree Major And/Or
  Technical Program Graduate of Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Surgical Technology Program Or
  Technical Program Military Surgical Technology Program
• License/Registration:
  License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State And/Or
• Certification And/Or
  Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Or
  Tech in Surgery (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing
• Work Experience and Additional Information:
  External candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of surgical experience, with demonstrated advanced proficiency in ten (10) or more surgical specialties. Internal team members may qualify with a minimum of three (3) years of surgical experience, provided they have demonstrated required competencies.
