Tampa General Hospital is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in West Central Florida.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are provided at multiple off campus locations and include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology services for patients across the life span (Pediatric and Adult). The goal of rehabilitation services is to increase the functional independence of our patients and improve their quality of life through state of the art, evidence-based practices. Specialized programs offered:
Orthopedic rehab, Neurological rehab, Pelvic floor therapy, Oncology rehab, Lymphedema therapy, Hand therapy and Pediatric rehab.

PT will be part of an Interdisciplinary team of PT, OT and SLP’s providing world class evidence-based care to patients. Primary caseload will be patients with Pelvic floor conditions (all genders and all ages), but PT may be expected to work with some patients from other diagnostic categories to meet the operational needs of the department.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy
• Licensure/Registration:
  Licensure by the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum 1 year experience required
• Must have completed Pelvic floor therapy level 1 course and willing to complete Pelvic floor Level 2 courses within 1 year

Demonstrate competency in all clinical knowledge and skills specific to the patient population

In collaboration with patient and /or family member develops individualized treatment plans for each patient

Collaborate within discipline and team members of other disciplines to optimize patient care

Manges patient caseload and Documentation to department guidelines

Stays current with evidence based practice through professional development activities as appropriate to caseload

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain relationships with patients, physicians and other referral sources

Active participation in team meetings

Performs all other duties as assigned

Travel may be required to meet operational needs at various locations.
