. This position is offered as full‑time or part‑time at either the Golden Valley or St. Paul office. The counseling team prides itself on compassion, high‑quality therapy, and a collaborative, supportive environment that nurtures professional growth.
- Deliver person‑centered psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, gender identity, mindfulness, self‑esteem, and grief & loss.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence‑based interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, EHR documentation, and correspondence as required by JFCS.
- Coordinate care with other professionals and provide consultative support to team members.
- Participate in weekly counseling team consults, 1:1 supervision, and all‑staff meetings.
- Engage in outreach to develop relationships with community partners and showcase clinical expertise.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or related field from an accredited graduate program.
- Minnesota professional license at the LICSW, LP, LMFT, or LPCC level.
- Minimum of two years’ experience providing psychotherapy across the lifespan.
- Specialized expertise (e.g., children, adolescents, couples, substance abuse, trauma‑informed, LGBTQIA+) highly encouraged.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and HIPAA confidentiality practices.
- Experience in in‑person and virtual therapy preferred.
- Active participation in agency committees or collaborative efforts that support agency goals.
The role is primarily office‑based with occasional community visits. Duties include walking, sitting, standing, frequent written and verbal communication, and occasional light lifting (up to 15 pounds). Travel may be required for community meetings.

Full‑time: $75,367.50 – $78,585.00 (dependent on experience). Half‑time: $38.65 – $40.30 per hour (dependent on experience).
Essential Functions (Approximate Allocation)- Short‑ and long‑term psychotherapy (65%):
Assess clients, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. - Documentation (20%):
Maintain accurate, timely clinical records; coordinate care; complete additional duties as required. - Supervision/Administration (10%):
Participate in weekly consults, 1:1 supervision, and all‑staff meetings; complete additional duties as needed. - Outreach (5%):
Develop relationships with community partners; engage in professional presentations or publications.
