CA Pre-Registration​/Pre-Certification Specialist

• Identify patients eligible for pre-registration and conduct necessary telephone interviews to gather demographic and insurance information
• Enter patient data into registration systems and ensure compliance with insurance regulations
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, including contacting third-party payers and employers
• Collaborate with clinics, hospital departments, and financial advisors regarding insurance coverage issues
• Secure accounts and manage pre-service collections as per departmental policies

• High School Graduate or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pre-registration or prior authorization
• Strong communication skills for conducting patient interviews and coordinating with various departments
• Ability to work with registration systems and verify insurance information
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and other insurance rules and regulations

• 1 or more years of experience working with Epic systems
• Familiarity with hospital services and patient financial processes
• Experience in a healthcare environment focused on patient registration and insurance verification
