Foster Wales Flintshire is looking for compassionate carers in or near Haslingden and Rossendale who can offer stability to young people thriving in their current communities.

If you’ve worked in roles like healthcare assistance, mental health support, residential care, or learning disabilities services, you likely already have the nurturing skills and resilience needed to become an outstanding foster carer.

This role supports young people stepping down from residential or high-support care settings. They may have experienced challenges in the past but are now ready to grow in a stable family environment.

We’re looking for carers who can provide a full-time home, helping children remain in their schools and community networks. This isn’t shift work—you’ll become a child’s main carer in your own home, with full wraparound support.

• Have experience in healthcare, support work, or similar care-focused roles
• Can offer a nurturing, stable, full-time home
• Have a spare bedroom and a full UK driving licence
• Are open to learning, support, and therapeutic approaches

• £50,000 annual support package
• Weekly fostering allowance (up to £258.79, approx. £13,453 per year)
• Extra allowances for birthdays, holidays, and festive periods (up to £1,035 per year)
• Professional & Practical Support:
• A dedicated social worker from Foster Wales Flintshire
• Regular support from an experienced foster carer
• Specialist training, including therapeutic and trauma-informed care
• Peer support groups, well-being sessions, and development opportunities
• Blue Light Card for national discounts
• Membership to The Fostering Network
• Access to the Mockingbird model (where available)
• Recognition and rewards via the Care Friends app
