Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst

Overview

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst position in the Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section. A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, team setting. The successful candidate will provide expertise and support for quality improvement projects focused on chronic conditions.

Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following:

• Leads or assists with the development of and provides technical assistance for the development and coding of quality measures.
• Reviews Electronic Health Record (EHR) data received from clinical sites participating in quality improvement collaboratives.
• Analyzes data including developing quantitative reports and visualizations with aggregated results of quality or population health metrics.
• Composes technical reports, manuals, and presentation materials.
• Presents results in clear format to non-technical audiences.
• Reviews work products from subcontractors.
• Conducts literature searches and literature reviews.
• Assists with institutional review board (IRB) applications and other data governance requests.
• Designs and executes linkage strategies for connecting administrative datasets.
• Select projects may also require Research and Analytics Senior Analysts to work with data dashboards and address data quality issues.

Minimum

Education Required:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a relevant field of study is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Additional Desired

Qualifications:

Demonstrated usage of R, SAS, or Stata for data analysis. R coding experience is preferred. Experience working on quality improvement initiatives or population health research, including developing clinical or population health quality measures. Training in quality improvement science is preferred.
