This position is an onsite role in Henryetta, OK, and candidates must be able to work on-site at Hillcrest Henryetta.
- Patient Access staff are responsible for assigning accurate MRNs, completing medical necessity / compliance checks, providing proper patient instructions, collecting insurance information, receiving, and processing physician orders, and utilizing an overlay tool while providing excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
- Operates the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable.
- Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in these interactions with the appropriate level of compassion.
- Patient Access staff will be held accountable for point of service goals as assigned.
- Use quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected. Conduct audits, assure all forms are completed accurately and timely, and provide statistical data to leadership.
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, collecting demographic, insurance, and financial information, including point‑of‑service collections and past‑due balances with payment plan options.
- Explain consent for treatment forms, obtain signatures and witnesses, and distribute patient education documents (e.g., Medicare, Tricare, Observation, MOON, Consent).
- Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system and enter benefit data to support POS and billing for clean claim rates.
- Accurately screen medical necessity using ABN software for Medicare patients, distribute ABN and other designated forms and pamphlets.
• 1+ years of customer service experience
Minimum Education• High School Diploma/GED Required
Certifications• CRCR Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid)
