Medical Coder- FULLY REMOTE

Tek Systems is currently hiring for several FULLY REMOTE Medical Coders! These positions would start at the end of January!

MUST HAVE: 1-3 or more years of Medical Coding Experience, MUST BE CPC Certified! MUST have your own equipment!

These Coders will be taking the work from the Client Coordinators. They will be looking at what the Provider sent and coded for payment and what the Payer sent and coded for payment. They will review the case to decide which one is correct, whether the correct code is being used, and make a determination of what code and payment is recommended by MCMC.

Then they pass it off to QA for review. They will do these cases over and over again to push them through.

All of the cases are going to be Emergency Services, so they would like everyone to have experience in emergency services, inpatient coding, or DRG (diagnosis-related group) coding. This would allow them to understand what they are looking at. Does not have to be an auditor or a ton of experience, but just knowledge of.

• Certified Professional Coder or CPC (Can look at but not guaranteed Certified Coding Specialist CCS)
• Experience or exposure to inpatient coding, emergency services coding or DRG Coding
• Awareness of HIPAA

This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
