OverviewThe Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for providing project management and facilitation, as well as clinical oversight and support for the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement, medical staff performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives. This includes organizing task forces, reviewing evidence‑based literature/benchmarks, establishing indicators for monitoring, and evaluating quality and appropriateness of care. The role also involves continuous improvement efforts, targeting aims, medical record review, occurrence/complaint investigation, and tracking/trending medical staff performance.
Education,Experience, and Licensure
RN License – required.
BSN degree – required.
Three or more years of current experience in QI‑related activities preferred, with experience in a clinical area of an acute‑care facility and demonstrated leadership, teaching, and QI/PI facilitation skills preferred. Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agency standards preferred.
