DescriptionLuro Health is excited to announce an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant currently licensed in the state of Rhode Island. This full‑time remote position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high‑quality virtual care in obesity medicine while working from the comfort of your home. You will be mentored by our co‑founder and CMO, Dr. Jamie Kane, while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, dieticians, behavioral health specialists and health coaches.
WhatYou Will Do
- Conduct real‑time video visits and follow‑ups for chronic care, remote monitoring and urgent needs.
- Collaborate with care teams to design individualized treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and counseling to empower healthier choices.
- Document care accurately in our EHR systems.
- Prescribe medications (including controlled substances) in compliance with DEA regulations.
- Uphold clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
- Leverage telehealth platforms and AI‑driven tools to deliver efficient, effective care.
- Licensure:
Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of Rhode Island (required). - Education:
Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP program (required). - Certification:
Board certified NP (ANCC/AANP) or NCCPA certified PA‑C (preferred). - Experience:
At least one year practicing independently as an NP or PA‑C, Telehealth and Obesity medicine experience preferred. - Other:
Reliable internet and HIPAA‑compliant workspace.
- Flexibility:
Full‑time availability preferred but part‑time considered. - Impact:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $57.69–$60.10 per hour (equivalent to approximately $120,000–$125,000 annually for full‑time schedules depending on experience and qualifications).
