- Transportation staff will arrive at the unit with the transport vehicle (i.e. stretcher or wheelchair) specified at the time of request, stop at the Nursing station to retrieve chart and/or card, report to patient room, greet the patient by name, identify the patient by armband, introduce themselves to the parents, patient and nursing staff as appropriate. Assist the patient and/or nursing with the physical transfer of the patient onto the vehicle and transport patient to the appointment.
Bodies of deceased patients will be transported to the Morgue by transport personnel.
- High school diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities including: pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, etc.
- Must be able to read and write English.
This position may require working day shift, afternoon shift, midnight shift, weekends, and holidays.
