Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00)

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Adult Social Worker to join the Gloucester Locality Team, based at Shire Hall. This role offers a guaranteed minimum three-month assignment with the prospect of extension, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to strengths‑based social work practice within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.

Competitive Hourly Rate: £35 per hour on a full‑time basis.

Weekly Allowance: £150 accommodation or mileage allowance.

Manageable Caseloads: Caseloads capped at 25 to support high‑quality, person‑centred practice.

Flexible/Agile Working: After a two‑week induction at Shire Hall, the role offers remote working with 2–3 days per week required onsite.

Maintain accurate and compliant case records in line with statutory requirements and local policy.

Stay informed of key legislation, guidance, and best practice underpinning Adult Social Care.

Contribute to team meetings, multi‑disciplinary discussions, and service development.
