The
* Patient Access and Patient Portal Epic Analyst III
* is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders, end users and team members throughout system development phases of assessment, design, build, testing, training and implementation. As the primary individual responsible for implementation, support & maintenance, the Analyst is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical solutions and operational needs. The role requires a blend of technical and interpersonal skills with a practical understanding of Digital Front Desk and scheduling operations, including self‑scheduling, requirement definition and ticket/project request management for the assigned portfolio.
The Analyst also provides analytical expertise to end users, aiming to enhance workflow, optimize business processes and identify system solutions that meet organizational goals. This position is full‑time, salaried and eligible for remote work.
- Proactively identifies and resolves issues within the assigned application, collaborates with other application teams to address cross‑functional issues, and documents troubleshooting records using a ticket management system.
- Guides the design of MyChart and Scheduling workflows, builds and tests solutions, and troubleshoots technical issues related to Epic software to ensure optimal system functionality and user satisfaction.
- Communicates application changes, enhancements and procedures to other Epic application teams, operational readiness groups and end users as necessary.
- Works with Epic representatives, business partners and end users to ensure the system meets the organization’s business needs regarding project deliverables and timelines.
- Participates in the development of end‑user training processes and/or curriculum content creation for MyChart/Cadence.
- Collaborates with partner training teams on the development of end‑user training based on build and functionality.
- Engages end users for feedback and obtains stakeholder sign‑off for system changes.
- Works with other analysts to maintain continuity in process and support of integrated Epic modules.
- Leads initiatives for system enhancements, including new features, upgrades, updates and optimization projects, to ensure development aligns with end‑user needs and industry best practices.
- Adheres to change‑management protocols for all application changes, including procedures, documentation maintenance and comprehensive testing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Four years of IT experience; preferably in a health‑care setting; one year of supervising experience preferred.
- Current Epic MyChart or Cadence certification required. Welcome certification preferred.
