Lead Medical Records Technician – Outpatient; Remote

• Serve as the lead resource for outpatient/professional coders on coding guidelines and regulations
• Review coding work, correct errors, and enhance consistency and compliance
• Develop and maintain reports, analyze trends, and recommend corrective actions
• Support training, orientation, and ongoing education initiatives for coders
• Assist in resolving audit findings and coding‑related denials in collaboration with billing teams

• Must meet or exceed Outpatient Coder requirements
• Active certification (RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CCS-P/CPC) with 3+ years of continuous experience
• Strong proficiency in ICD-10‑CM, CPT, HCPCS, E/M, and professional‑fee coding
• Proven leadership, quality assurance, and training capabilities

• Experience in a healthcare staffing or coding environment
• Familiarity with audit processes and denial management strategies
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends and recommend improvements
