UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Medical Coding Analyst Auditor - Educator to join our Coding Department. This is a REMOTE, full-time, day shift position in New Mexico.
* This position is work from home, requiring the candidate to reside in New Mexico or be willing to relocate.

- Sign-On Bonus - $2,000
- Salary based on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time position (40 hours/week). Part-time hours prorated accordingly.
Reporting to the Manager of Medical Coding, responsible for conducting quarterly audits and leading monthly educational sessions for Medical Coding Analysts. Collaborates with Coding Supervisors, Manager, and Director to identify educational needs and improve coding accuracy and provider documentation.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), or eligible to obtain CPMA within 12 months.
- Degree from an accredited institution may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Assess educational needs and develop training programs for Medical Coding Analysts.
- Create training materials and coding aids.
- Perform medical coding audits to ensure accuracy, prepare reports, and provide feedback.
- Coordinate educational sessions for staff and providers.
- Maintain current knowledge of billing guidelines and regulations.
- Assist in developing annual audit and education plans.
- Train new Medical Coding Analysts.
- Ensure confidentiality of records.
- Participate in conferences and training for ongoing education.
