Personal Care Attendant (PCA)

Are you interested in supporting clients in staying home by providing non-medically directed personal care? Consider joining our Long-Term Care team. Experience is not required as we provide a comprehensive training program that will allow you opportunities for growth. Basic skills could include assisting clients with housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers to include the use of lifts.

As PCA at the UVM Health Network Home Health & Hospice, you will help people live their fullest lives by providing innovative, high-value, compassionate care. Our staff does their utmost to build trusting relationships based on listening, empathy and understanding, and personify the qualities of excellence and professionalism in all areas of UVM Home Health & Hospice work.

We currently FT Day positions available!

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required plus the University of Vermont Health Network Home Health & Hospice PCA Training program (either 1 day for experienced recruits or full PCA training for recruits with no previous experience)
  • Personal Care Attendants must successfully complete PCA coursework and pass the required exam. We will support and guide the candidate through this process.
  • Maintain satisfactory standing with the Adult Abuse Registry, Child Abuse & Neglect Registry, Vermont Criminal Information Center and OIG
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have a reliable, registered vehicle with insurance as required by the organization, and appropriate to position.

Pay Ranges from $16.73- $21.41/hr.
