Occupational Therapist – Capital Health
Capital Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role focuses on patient-centered care, functional recovery, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Conduct timely OT assessments, treatment plans, and documentation for inpatients and outpatients.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), functional mobility, cognitive & perceptual training, sensory-motor therapy, vocational rehabilitation, and school readiness programs.
- Set measurable long- and short-term goals with patients and caregivers; monitor progress through reassessment.
- Provide discharge planning and patient/family education, including home programs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, daily huddles, and provide comprehensive clinical handovers.
- Prescribe, manage, and ensure safe use of therapy equipment and supplies.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation activities (DOH, JCIA, CARF, Magnet®).
- Mentor and support staff training, orientation, and competency assessments.
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and adhere to facility policies.
- Provide home-based OT as required and demonstrate competency with OT equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
- National license & DOH eligibility.
- Minimum 2 years of OT clinical experience.
