A public healthcare organization in Wisconsin is seeking an Inpatient Coder III to review medical records and perform coding on all diagnoses and procedures. Key responsibilities include assigning and verifying DRGs for inpatient accounts and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential, and at least 5 years of experience in inpatient coding, preferably in a Trauma Level 1 facility.
This role may allow for flexible work schedules including telecommuting.
