Part-Time Member Care Associate

Do you have a heart for missionaries and a gift for encouragement? What if your listening ear and pastoral care could help global workers and their families thrive where the gospel is least known? We’re looking for a compassionate, Christ-centered individual to walk alongside missionaries—offering prayer, care, and presence when it’s needed most. This part-time role offers meaningful, Kingdom-impacting work with flexibility.

The preferred location for this role would be Team Expansion’s home office in Louisville, KY.

• Undergird all thoughts and actions with prayer.
• Connect monthly with those they are assigned to care for.
• Assess new recruits for field readiness and collaborate with the recruit on a plan of care for optimal health on the field.
• Coordinate the missionary and their family’s care with the Field Supervisor and Third Culture Kid care provider.
• Attend Team Expansion’s annual conference, ICOM (International Conference on Missions), and three in-office training weeks.
• Make occasional overseas Field Visits.
• Meet with the Member Care Director for monthly encouragement, prayer, and accountability.
• Raise and maintain a personal prayer and support base.

• The Member Care Associate will be a Bible believer with a mature worldview, a commitment to the Great Commission, and a devotion to prayer.
• The Member Care Associate should have a deep desire to help missionaries be successful in multiplying disciples who make more disciples.
• The Member Care Associate should possess the ability to listen to and relate with cross-cultural workers.
• The Member Care Associate should display a willingness to continue to grow and learn by taking additional training.
• The Member Care Associate will have a burning compassion for, and deep commitment to, Unreached People Groups.
• The Member Care Associate will possess administrative skills.

• Possess pastoral gifts.
• Feel called to care for missionaries and their families.
• Be knowledgeable or willing to be trained in the basic principles of mental health, including trauma-informed care.
• Display communication skills for interaction with teams, churches, mental health professionals, and others involved in the care of the missionary.
• Must be computer literate.
