Health Plan Product Manager – Medicare – Remote

Overview

Health Plan Product Manager - Medicare at Sanford Health (Remote ND, Dickinson). The position is full-time with 40 weekly hours, day shifts. Salary range: $37.50 - $62.00.

Job summary includes leading the ongoing analysis, planning, and management of the relevant product line or Health Plan service, and identifying opportunities for product enhancement or new product development. The Product Manager interfaces with external customers, agents, businesses, professionals, prospects, and members to translate market requirements into business opportunities. Responsibilities span the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept and feasibility through development, launch, and performance evaluation, aligned with Sanford Health System and Sanford Health Plan goals.

• Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and performance evaluation.
• Interface with customers, agents, businesses, professionals, prospects, and members to understand market needs and translate them into opportunities.
• Develop and manage comprehensive product plans, including cost-benefit analyses, budgets, schedules, and work plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to assess market opportunities, determine financial viability, and evaluate sales potential.
• Support digital engagement and marketing efforts, including understanding strategies for mobile apps, social media, and SEO/SEM.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives, track product performance, plan enhancements, and retirement strategies as needed.
• Gather and analyze data to support lifecycle decisions and continuous improvement.
• Develop competitive intelligence to assess product positioning and identify opportunities for differentiation.
• Integrate business cases into a cohesive product portfolio strategy and advise on optimal product mix for target markets.
• Engage stakeholders throughout the lifecycle, communicate status to Product Development leadership, and prepare for governance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations by coordinating with regulatory and legal teams and external regulators as needed.
• Maintain competency in product management practices and regulatory requirements; participate in strategic planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required.
• Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum five to ten years of relevant experience in healthcare or consumer product marketing with emphasis in product management and strategy development.
