OverviewCompass Associates is collaborating with a renowned Children’s Care and Specialist Education provider that supports thousands of young people across the UK. The portfolio includes Residential Services, Specialist Schools, Health and Activity Centres, as well as Therapy and ADHD diagnosis and treatment services for children and young people with complex needs such as Learning Disabilities, Autism, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, trauma and CSE.
We are looking for a Regional Clinical, Forensic, Counselling or Educational Psychologist with a passion for working with children. You will provide direct clinical work, assessment, supervision and training across a designated caseload of children’s homes, while collaborating with a therapeutic team that includes Therapists, Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Psychologists. You will receive support from the Clinical Lead and Clinical Director.
WorkPattern
Managing your own diary, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Flexible with a 4‑day condensed contract if needed.
LocationThis is a hybrid role: remote work with travel across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire. EBD homes are commutable from Northampton, Cambridge, St. Neots, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, St. Albans, Watford, High Wycombe, Hitchin, Bishop’s Stortford and surrounding areas. Travel is typically required, with a work week that may look like 2–3 days at home and 2–3 days in the field.
Criteria- HCPC Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, Educational and Forensic)
- Experience of working within a Children’s setting such as within Education, Residential or CAMHS
This is a two‑stage process via Teams. Stage 1 is an informal meeting with a Senior Clinician to understand the role. Stage 2 is a competency‑based interview with both Senior Clinicians.
