The Role and PersonYou will be able to work independently as well as closely and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. You will be eager to take ownership and responsibility for delivering your work and will be self-driven, results-oriented and be able to demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.
You will be encouraged to develop your strengths and skills through a robust structure of clinical supervision and opportunities for professional development. St Andrew’s has an excellent record of providing opportunities for research, training and continuing professional development so you will also have access to peer support from the wider Charity, as well as regular CPD events. Training relevant to the requirements of the role will be provided.
Although our offices are based in Northampton, the post holder will mostly be required to deliver assessments online with occasional travel into the community so a full driver’s licence is desirable. However, in return, you will also benefit from having the flexibility to work from home and hours that can work around your family life.
In order to be eligible, you will need to be registered with HCPC. ASD diagnostic experience is desirable but we can offer training if this is an area if you have good experience working with ASD or ADHD service users.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of working successfully with a varied child and adult population with a wide range of mental health needs and will therefore ideally have a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience but newly qualified professionals with a particular interest in diagnostic services will be welcomed and supported.
RewardWe offer an excellent benefits package including pension, 38 days holiday, sickness policy on par with NHS, life cover, cycle to work scheme and opportunities for research, teaching and continuing professional development.
