Clinical Program Manager / Team Leader – Children & Youth
Location: Altamont, NY
Salary: $75,000 annually (commensurate with education and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid (remote when not in field or meetings)
Program OverviewThis leadership role supports a Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) program serving children and youth ages 5 through 20 who are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization. The Program Manager provides clinical oversight, staff supervision, and program leadership for services delivered across Delaware County and Schoharie County.
What You’ll Do- Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary clinical team of Master’s- and Bachelor’s-level counselors, with staff maintaining small caseloads of three to four youth.
- Provide weekly individual supervision, clinical guidance on referred cases, and coverage for families when counselors are unavailable.
- Facilitate organizational and clinical team meetings at least twice per month, participate in all program-related meetings, and ensure timely documentation using required computer systems.
- Support program development, problem-solving, and evolving operational needs as the program expands.
- A clinically strong, organized leader with experience supporting youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
- Comfortable multitasking independently, troubleshooting challenges in real time, and collaborating within a team-based, trauma-informed care model.
- Strong engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bilingual Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Creative Arts Therapy required.
- LMSW candidates encouraged to apply; supervision hours toward full licensure may be available.
- Two years of experience working with the SED population and prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred; licensed clinicians with strong mental health experience and growth potential will also be considered.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must successfully clear Justice Center and Statewide Central Register background checks.
