Protocall Services, Inc. is seeking a Crisis Counselor for a fully remote position based in St. Cloud, MN. The role offers a competitive hourly base with incentives for shift flexibility and weekend coverage. Preferred candidates must be Minnesota residents.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4‑year college or university.

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience in behavioral health, counseling, or social services.

Remote, Minnesota residency required.

In addition to base hourly pay, crisis counselors are eligible for the following incentives:

• + $1.00/hour if voluntarily commits to Saturday and Sunday on their recurring schedule post‑training.
• + $1.00/hour for working a full 40‑hour schedule in the workweek post‑training.
• Shift differentials ranging $2–$6/hour based on shift and tenure.

As a Crisis Counselor, you will be a telephonic first responder, delivering compassionate emotional support, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and stabilization services. Calls may range from acute crisis situations to administrative or supportive inquiries.

• Provide empathetic, ethical, and professional telephonic support to individuals in distress.
• Build rapport, actively listen, and foster client engagement.
• Assess emotional and behavioral health concerns, including risk levels and safety issues.
• Offer resources, coping strategies, referrals, and safety planning.
• Intervene appropriately in emergent situations.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically sound documentation.
• Navigate multiple software systems while multitasking.
• Ensure a secure, HIPAA‑compliant home workspace with a locked door and stable wired internet.

• Six‑Week Paid Virtual Training Cohort (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM PST) – structured onboarding, skills development, mentor‑led calls. Completion required for continued employment.
• Remote scheduling after training, with regular availability on weekends and holidays.
