Non-Exempt A Brief Overview Ambulatory Social Workers are professionals trained to provide social work/case management services to patients, their families, and their support persons/systems in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. This includes the professional activity of assisting individuals, families, groups, organizations or communities to enhance or restore the patient's capacity for social functioning and to create societal conditions favorable to their goals.
