About the Remote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor) role at HeadspaceHeadspace is currently seeking a part-time, independently licensed contractor Tennessee therapist to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 1099 contract basis. To start, a minimum of 10+ hours per week is encouraged with flexibility to adjust; more hours may be available depending on schedule and care demand.
The pay for the Contract Mental Health Therapist ranges from $70 to $75 per teletherapy session for TN. Exact reimbursement rates are determined during the interview process and based on factors including location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages, and populations treated. Session length is 60 minutes for intake and 45 minutes for follow-up, with concurrent note-taking included in the session rate.
All Headspace therapists must be licensed and reside in the US. All work must be provided in the US; personal health information may not be accessed, disclosed or used outside of the US. The US excludes territories such as Puerto Rico.
- Provide high quality, innovative tele-therapy to Headspace patients via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.
- Complete, sign and lock clinical notes in EMR within 48 hours of session as part of per-session reimbursement.
- Maintain a personalized database for licensure, expirations, and personal information; keep availability calendar up to date.
- Collaborate with a care team including health coaches, therapists, psychiatrists, and external providers.
- 3+ years of experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples or families.
- An independent clinical license to practice in good standing (Master or Doctoral level); BC-TMH credential if required by state.
- Ability to offer at least 10 sessions per week with flexibility to adjust; evening or night availability is a plus.
- Clinical competence in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.) and measurement-based care; risk management experience.
- Commitment to culturally responsive care; familiarity with care delivery technology (EMR, video conferencing, Google tools, etc.).
- Access to a safe, secure location with reliable internet to provide Zoom-based psychotherapy; strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Licensure in multiple states; PSYPACT enrollment or eligibility.
- Ability to serve diverse populations; familiarity with the Headspace app and content.
- Willingness to include evening availability to support member care flexibility.
