Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a home health assignment and proficiency in Oasis documentation.
Responsibilities- Position is in a home health setting providing occupational therapy services to a diverse patient population
- Work assignments are region-based and involve travel within an assigned geographical area
- Primary diagnoses include orthopedic cases, stroke, joint replacements, spinal injuries, and general rehabilitation needs
- Work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with 8-hour day shifts
- Weekend rotation is required every third weekend, with major holiday coverage only if needed
- Team includes permanent Rehab Aides, OTAs, and PTAs
- Cerner is the charting system used for documentation
- Provide home-based occupational therapy services for a range of post-acute diagnoses within assigned regions
- Business attire and a white lab coat are required; jeans are not permitted
- A floor-specific orientation lasting 1.5–2 weeks is provided
- Team-oriented environment supported by rehab professionals and aides
- Travelers will be assigned to and are responsible for covering patients in a defined geographical region
- Major holiday coverage may be required if needed
- Active state or compact OT license required for job consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of OT experience required
- At least 1 year of experience working in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech settings required
- Experience with Oasis documentation required
- Home health experience preferred
- Two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Copy of driver’s license must be provided
