Position: After Hours Imaging Workflow Specialist

Diversified Radiology is a thriving 75+ radiologist group founded in 1927 and partnered with Lumexa Imaging. The practice is dedicated to providing quality, subspecialized care and expertise throughout Denver, Colorado, and the nation via teleradiology. The group serves a diverse mix of hospital systems, independent outpatient imaging centers, tertiary care centers, community hospitals, specialty practices, and stand‑alone ED and urgent care centers in 18 states and growing.

The case mix and complexity rival that of teaching hospitals, but the practice enjoys a relaxed setting that values work/life balance.

Responsibilities

This non‑patient facing customer service role assists radiologists by managing radiology imaging workflow for emergent studies. Duties include answering the phone, retrieving and sending radiology images, locating and acquiring prior electronic exams, faxing reports, handling paperwork as needed, and following up on unread studies. The ultimate responsibility is to ensure radiologists can deliver timely reports to referring facilities.

Training and Shift Schedule
  • 36–40 hours of training per week, transitioning to a 7 on 14 off schedule.
  • 7 on 14 off:
    Seven 11‑hour days, Monday through Sunday, followed by 14 days off.
  • After‑hour role (post‑training): 6 pm – 5 am MST.
Salary

Starting salary $37,960.00 annually with a 5% performance bonus.

Remote Working Requirements
  • Have appropriate dependent care for children at home during work hours.
  • Maintain good standing and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • Provide a designated remote workspace that is professional, productive, quiet, private, and free from distractions, hazards, and unauthorized access. The workspace must protect company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
Additional Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous PACS experience preferred.
Essential Functions
  • Multi‑system monitoring with image transfer, requisitions, and report turnaround between hospitals and the Diagnostic Reference Center (DRC).
  • Quality control and performance monitoring.
  • Study monitoring and patient information management.
  • Liaison with DRC and facilities in partnership with DRC.
  • Operational trouble‑shooting and problem solving.
  • If working after hours, act as liaison with DRC Security Officer to enforce data security policies.
  • Coordinate data flow with DRC radiologists.
  • Provide proactive technical administration, planning, coordination, documentation, and system management reporting.
  • Resolve service problems by clarifying complaints, determining causes, selecting solutions, expediting corrections, and following up for resolution.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and information to protect patient rights under HIPAA.
