Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled EIDBI Level 1 Provider to join our growing team. In this role, you will deliver early intensive intervention services for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental needs. You will conduct assessments, develop and modify Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs), and oversee program implementation in the home and community. The Level 1 Provider collaborates closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary partners to support meaningful progress in communication, social development, and daily living skills.

This is a key clinical role in Norway Health Center’s home-based EIDBI ABA program. You will ensure treatment integrity, guide Level 2 and Level 3 providers, and uphold high standards of ethical, data-informed, and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, update, and oversee the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP), ensuring that goals and services respect the child’s and family’s values, culture, language, and preferences.
  • Provide 1:1, in-person intervention to children with ASD, using evidence-based strategies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support skill acquisition and reduce barrier behaviors.
  • Provide observation, direction, and clinical guidance to Behavior Technician, ensuring consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor progress, adjust interventions when needed, and support data-based decision making.
  • Document all services, sessions, and treatment updates in accordance with EIDBI health service record requirements.
  • Provide caregiver training, education, and support to promote generalization of skills in daily routines and home environments.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment during all therapy sessions, whether delivered in the home setting, or via telehealth.
  • Communicate regularly with team members and Behavior Technicians to review progress, share recommendations, and support consistent treatment implementation.
  • Uphold professional, ethical, and cultural standards, while receiving required clinical supervision and completing mandated trainings as outlined by EIDBI guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: To qualify for this position, candidates must be an employee of the EIDBI provider agency and meet BOTH of the following core requirements:
1. Clinical Training Requirement
  • Complete at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience and/or training in the evaluation or treatment of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related conditions, OR
  • Complete the equivalent in graduate-level coursework in ASD diagnostics, treatment strategies, or child development from an accredited university.
2. Education or Certification Requirement

Meet one of the pathways below:

  • Graduate Degree Pathway: Hold a master’s or doctoral degree in behavioral health, child development, or a related field (e.g., psychology, mental health, social work, special education, speech pathology, occupational therapy).
  • BCBA-D or BCBA Pathway: Be a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) or BCBA in good standing. (

    Note:

    Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, behavior analysts must also obtain licensure through the Board of Psychology.)
  • Qualified Behavior Analyst Pathway: Be credentialed as a Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) under an approved credentialing board. (Licensure also required beginning Jan. 1, 2025.)
  • Bachelor’s + Advanced Certification Pathway: Hold a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or child-development field and an advanced certification in a DHS-recognized treatment modality.
  • BCaBA Pathway: Hold a BCaBA credential and 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience that meets certification requirements.
