Overview
Remote Certified Medical Assistant - Bilingual Spanish. 1099 Full time. Remote in the U.S.
Medsien is a provider of Chronic Care Management and Remote patient monitoring services to medical practices across the United States. Medsien is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team as a Care Partner. In this role, you will assist patients in enrolling into various healthcare programs. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and a passion for helping others access healthcare services.
Note:
This is a remote, 1099 role and does not come with benefits.
- Patient Enrollment:
Guide patients through the enrollment process for healthcare programs, ensuring accurate and complete documentation. - Program Eligibility Assessment:
Evaluate patient eligibility for specific healthcare programs based on provided criteria (e.g., age, medical conditions). - Patient Consultation:
Conduct comprehensive consultations to gather information and explain benefits and requirements of various healthcare programs. - Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Accurately document patient information, enrollment details, and program eligibility assessments in electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems. - Follow-Up and Coordination:
Monitor enrollment progress, communicate with patients, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate enrollment. - Patient
Education:
Provide clear explanations regarding healthcare programs offered by Medsien. - Compliance and Privacy:
Adhere to privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and maintain confidentiality of patient information. - Program Updates:
Stay informed about changes and new offerings in healthcare programs and communicate changes to patients. - Collaborative Approach:
Work with healthcare providers, insurance companies, social workers, and other parties to ensure seamless enrollment.
- Certified Medical Assistant:
Active CMA certification from a nationally accredited body (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc.). - Medical Terminology:
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses. - Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex information clearly. - Empathy and Compassion:
Demonstrated ability to interact with patients empathetically. - Attention to Detail:
Keen eye for accurate completion of enrollment applications and documentation. - Organization and Time Management:
Ability to manage multiple enrollments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. - Technology Proficiency:
Familiarity with EHR systems and ability to learn new software quickly. - Ethical Conduct:
Professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive patient information. - Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must speak and write Spanish and English fluently.
