They played a pivotal role in the passage and implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), helped set critical federal standards on pollution, and aided in critical state wins like Michigan’s % clean energy standard. Now, under the Trump administration, they are helping states both achieve bold climate progress and defend against attacks on progress, building momentum toward a cross-state climate affordability agenda and renewed climate leadership.

Evergreen’s Transportation Policy Director is charged with developing and executing on a bold transportation policy agenda that will be implemented strategically across the nation and in key states.

The Transportation Policy Director will work with the Policy Team, States & Federal Affairs Team, and external partners on identifying policy priorities to address the climate crisis and build a more equitable and affordable world. They will execute the plans to make sustainable transportation policies a reality through policy strategy and advocacy that promotes system-level solutions for state transportation programs and actionable federal solutions that match the current political moment, while laying groundwork for long‑term progress.

This is a remote position with a target salary of $154,500.
