We are looking to appoint a new Head of Business Development
, Public Sector
EMEA (m/f/d) who will focus on further growing awareness of the Nemetschek Group and all our brands across the public sector.
The Head of Business Development will open institutional pathways and shape strategic positioning, while working in structured tandem with infrastructure account leadership to translate access into executable pipeline and measurable revenue outcomes. This role operates at the intersection of policy influence and commercial execution.
Key responsibilities within this role:
Strategic Engagement and Government Relations
Design, lead and execute the Nemetschek Group’s government relations agenda across Germany initially and then more broadly across EMEA, aligning with global and regional priorities to open new opportunities with:
- Government‑owned construction companies
- Government bodies influencing the construction industry
- Managers of public real‑estate and infrastructure
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments; assess their impact and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Identify relevant budget and policy makers; provide actionable plans and insights for executive leadership.
- Develop and implement comprehensive government relations strategies to communicate the organization’s objectives to government officials, agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Evangelize the value of digitization and artificial intelligence in construction with regulators and relevant government entities.
- Consult stakeholders across regional and country level governments on building construction and operations.
Relationship Building and Representation
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Nemetschek Group and relevant stakeholders, advocating for our interests and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with budget and policymakers, government agencies, and regional bodies (e.g., EU Commission, national ministries, regulatory authorities).
- Establish and nurture relationships with key government stakeholders to ensure our organization is well‑represented and considered in relevant policy discussions.
- Represent the company at forums, hearings, industry coalitions, and international summits to advocate for favourable policies and enhance the organization’s visibility.
Business development and Sales
- Collaborate with the Sales teams, own and drive government‑related revenue, orders, and pipeline development. Generate pipeline and close business opportunities as a quota carrier.
- Identify and pursue government opportunities, ensuring alignment with the overall sales strategy.
- Work hand and hand with the Sales teams to optimize engagement and secure government contracts and partnerships.
Product Roadmap for governmental agencies
- Provide technical, data, and domain expertise to enhance product features to meet government software requirements and IT standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product Management, Development) to ensure products align with the requirements of government clients.
- Provide early insights into emerging product requirements within the government sectors to inform product development decisions.
