Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for the Head of Policy at FSB, based in Belfast with flexibility for some remote work. The Head of Policy will lead the development and implementation of FSB s policy positions, collaborating with stakeholders to advocate for the needs of FSB members. Day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing legislative frameworks, engaging with government representatives, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

The role also involves guiding a dynamic team to drive impactful policy initiatives and support small business advocacy efforts.

Qualifications
  • Solid understanding and experience in Government Relations and Legislation
  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate policies and provide insightful recommendations
  • Proven proficiency in Stakeholder Engagement to build and maintain influential relationships
  • Team Leadership skills to inspire, mentor, and guide a high-performing team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A background in policy development, public affairs, or related fields
  • Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities faced by small businesses in the UK
  • A relevant degree in public policy, political science, economics, or a related discipline
