Note:

This position is subject to the Department of Conservation’s Conflict of Interest code. Candidates may be precluded from employment if they or their spouse hold interests in oil, gas, or geothermal entities.

This position is located in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. In-person work is required at 715 P Street, MS 1803, Sacramento, CA 95814. The hybrid schedule allows at least three days of remote work and up to two days in-office per week. Alternative work locations will not be considered.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Administrative Support Unit Manager (Supervisor I), the Analyst I will assist in overseeing and executing a range of administrative support functions. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Reviewing and analyzing CalGEM documents and processes
  • Public Records analysis
  • Preparing required documents for executive team reports and business processes
  • Coordinating budget reports
  • Organizing and tracking public comments and requests
  • Providing less complex analytical and administrative support for Headquarters’ business operations, special projects, and process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrating innovative thinking, creativity, and critical thinking

The incumbent will support division operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

Analyst I

Salary ranges: A $3,861.00 - $4,839.00; B $4,181.00 - $5,233.00; C $5,014.00 - $6,276.00. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. Applicants not meeting minimum qualifications may be withheld from the eligibility list. Appeals may be filed with the State Personnel Board.
