Location:
Mossley Mill (may be required to work at any Council) and this is an office-based position; remote working is unavailable.
To protect and promote the health and wellbeing of those who live in, work in, and visit the Borough and to contribute to their quality of life.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the effective delivery of the Environmental Health service by assisting the Environmental Health Team to deliver the objectives set out in the Environmental Health Business Plan.
- Identifying information needs within businesses and residential communities relating to Environmental Health matters.
- Assisting Environmental Health staff with visiting commercial and domestic properties to assess compliance with Environmental Health legislation.
- Devising, planning and participating in training and information campaigns to promote awareness of legislative requirements and health issues.

Recruitment processThe recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 4 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
A copy of the Competency framework is attached for information.
A reserve list will be created for this post for a 4 week period and if this post becomes available within 4 weeks it will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.
