What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Serve as the Public Records Custodian, managing requests, subpoenas, and records retention processes
  • Assist in administering the agency's rule‑making processes, including drafting documents and facilitating public input
  • Review and respond to all subpoenas, collecting and reviewing responsive records
  • Develop and implement public records policies, procedures, and retention schedules
  • Complete public record requests, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and disclosure requirements
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Knowledge of insurance and financial institution principles, state and federal regulations
  • Experience with rule‑making procedures and Arizona rule‑writing standards
  • Ability to conduct public hearings and interact with stakeholders
  • Strong management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret statutes, case law, and proposed legislation accurately
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Juris Doctor degree is preferred
  • Experience in regulatory environments or public sector roles
  • Familiarity with relational databases and records management systems
  • Skills in drafting regulations and policies
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and public hearings
