Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a CFO. This position is a cornerstone of our Accounting and Finance department, and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic financial planning and decision making. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth trajectory and to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The CFO will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, overseeing the preparation of all fiscal reporting.
  • Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
  • Establish and implement internal controls for compliance with financial regulations and laws.
  • Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required.
  • Review all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.
  • Oversee treasury functions including liquidity management, investment, and asset management.
  • Manage grant reporting, compliance, and reconciliation.
  • Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
  • Communicate effectively and persuasively with investors, board members, and other stakeholders on the company's financial status, strategies, and risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  • CPA or other relevant qualification is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Extensive experience in financial management and accounting, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing treasury functions, including liquidity, investment, and asset management.
  • Experience with grant management and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
