Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to play a key role within our Financial Planning team. The Paraplanner will be integral to the advisory team and will work closely with the Financial Planners and report directly to the firm's directors.

The role is contractually based on five days per week (37.5 hours) in our Alloa office, and the expectation is that you will work from the office on all contracted days. However, we are open to considering one day per week working from home, supporting flexibility while still maintaining strong team collaboration and communication.
Your key responsibilities will include producing high‑quality, compliant suitability reports and providing technical support that enables our Financial Planners to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. You will also work closely with our administration team to ensure cases progress smoothly and efficiently.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Liaise with Financial Planners and introducers to support clients' financial planning needs
- Review and analyse client fact‑finds and file notes to fully understand objectives and circumstances
- Utilise internal AI systems to enhance efficiencies and improve overall productivity
- Conduct detailed research and analysis, including cashflow modelling
- Liaise with platforms and providers to gather information on existing arrangements and potential investment solutions
- Evaluate client goals, priorities, attitude to risk and capacity for loss
- Prepare and maintain fully compliant client files throughout all stages of the advice process
- Produce clear, accurate and comprehensive suitability reports, incorporating tax calculations where appropriate
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FCA principles, regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Collaborate with Financial Planners on research aligned with the Centralised Investment Proposition
- Support administration and processing team to ensure advice is implemented accurately and within agreed service levels
- Handle client and provider correspondence in line with data protection requirements
- Maintain ongoing CPD and keep technical knowledge and product understanding up to date
- Hold aminimum Level 4 Diplomain Financial Planning
- At leasttwo years of paraplanning experience
- Strong customer service backgroundwith a clear focus on delivering excellent client outcomes
- Exceptional attention to detailand high levels of accuracy
- Solid understanding of the financial services sector, including FCA principles and regulatory requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Highly organised,adaptable, and able tomanage workload independently
- Ability to embrace new ways of workingandproactively champion process improvements
- Experience supportinginvestment propositionsor contributing tointernal investment committees, including research, due diligence, and written analysis
- Familiarity with key platformsandproduct providers
- Experience working with bespoke or in‑house financial systems, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technology and processes
- Working towards, or open to working towards, Chartered status, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and technical excellence
