Senior Credit Analyst

Full-Time | On-Site | Missouri-Based Community Bank

Our growing, locally owned bank is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to support our commercial lending team and strengthen our credit culture. This role plays a key part in protecting the bank’s portfolio quality while supporting local businesses across the St. Louis region.

• Complete detailed financial statement and tax return analysis for commercial and industrial, commercial real estate, agricultural, and consumer credit requests.
• Prepare comprehensive written credit memos and risk rating recommendations.
• Support lenders in structuring loans in compliance with bank policy, FDIC guidelines, and Missouri banking regulations.
• Monitor the existing commercial loan portfolio, including annual reviews, covenant tracking, and early identification of credit deterioration.
• Assist in concentration analysis, stress testing, and other regulatory reporting needs.
• Participate in loan committee discussions and help maintain strong credit administration practices.
• Manage the credit department and act as a mentor and resource to junior analysts.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial credit or lending experience.
• Strong financial analysis and cash flow modeling skills.
• Knowledge of FDIC regulations and community banking credit expectations.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and underwriting software.

• Experience in a small to midsize community bank.
• Knowledge of the St. Louis metro commercial market.
• Formal credit training program completion.
• In-office role with minimal local travel
• Professional office environment
• Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, telephones and printers
• Office-based position with occasional remote work flexibility
