A nationally recognized professional services organization is seeking an experienced
Finance Manager
to lead and strengthen its financial operations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a collaborative, project-driven environment and enjoys partnering across accounting, HR, and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership within a professional services setting. Experience supporting design, architecture, engineering, or consulting organizations is highly preferred.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and enhance financial processes, build team capabilities, and drive operational discipline across a growing organization.

• Lead and mentor accounting, administrative, and HR support staff
• Coordinate team workloads, scheduling, and training initiatives
• Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture

• Oversee monthly financial close processes in partnership with accounting
• Support quarterly break-even and profitability analyses
• Assist with annual audit coordination and compliance efforts
• Review and enhance internal controls and financial procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency and profitability

• Ensure adherence to government regulations and reporting requirements
• Coordinate with HR on required state and federal filings
• Respond to insurance carrier audits and manage documentation requests
• Prepare and oversee annual corporate insurance reviews and renewals

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Prior experience in a professional services environment (required)
• Experience in a design or project-based firm (strongly preferred)
• Background in a mid-sized organization with involvement in monthly operational and financial close processes
• Deep understanding of accounting systems and financial data flows
• Experience working with cloud-based financial systems

• Base salary:$130,000 – $150,000
