Financial Analyst Intern, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Position Summary:

Andromeda, a market group within Constellation Software Inc., is seeking a driven and analytical Financial Analyst Intern, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to join our acquisitions team. This part-time internship provides hands‑on experience across the full M&A lifecycle, from financial analysis and valuation to due diligence and deal support. You will work closely with seasoned investors to evaluate acquisition targets, build advanced financial models, and contribute to investment decision‑making.

This role is ideal for motivated students with strong Excel skills, financial acumen, and a passion for corporate finance and software industry M&A.

This role is offered remotely anywhere in Canada, or on a hybrid basis for candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area. Our Toronto office is located ir and Yonge.

What You'll Do:

Financial Analysis and Modeling:
You will perform detailed financial analysis on potential acquisition targets by reviewing their financial statements and underlying data. Your main role will be to use advanced Excel skills to build financial models and perform calculations that will help determine a company's valuation.

Due Diligence Support:
Assist the M&A team during the due diligence process. You'll help review financial data and models to ensure they support our investment thesis. This includes assessing key risks and opportunities within a business.

Support the M&A Team:
Work closely with the M&A team to support the entire deal lifecycle, from initial lead qualification to closing transactions. You will help prepare analysis and materials to support investment decisions and presentations.

Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and organize financial data and reports that will be used for internal review and decision-making.

Key

Competencies:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Strong interest in financial analysis and corporate finance.
  • Proven advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and manipulate financial models.
  • Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience with financial analysis or modeling is a plus, but not required.

Compensation - This role is being offered full‑time at $25/hour.
