Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting & Finance

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site requirements in Owosso, Michigan. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and controllership, with the ability to adapt to remote work environments effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end close processes.

- Oversee job costing and ensure accuracy in financial data related to manufacturing and assembly operations.

- Utilize Acumatica software to streamline accounting processes and maintain financial records.

- Analyze and interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Provide periodic on-site support and collaborate with teams in Owosso, Michigan.

- Develop and implement effective financial controls to safeguard company assets.

- Monitor and enhance operational efficiency within financial processes.

- Lead initiatives to improve reporting accuracy and cost management.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with organizational objectives. Requirements - Proven experience in a Controller role, preferably within manufacturing or assembly industries.

- Proficiency in Acumatica software and remote work setups.

- Strong understanding of job costing and month-end close procedures.

- Ability to travel periodically to Owosso, Michigan, for on-site collaboration.

- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams.

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards.

- Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and manage multiple priorities.
