The Interim Global Mobility Tax Specialist will serve as the mobility tax SME, overseeing individual tax, compensation reporting, and finance processes related to global assignments. This consultant will partner closely with multiple mobility and tax areas as well as with external vendors to advise on expatriate tax concepts, support assignment planning, and ensure compliance with U.S. and non-U.S. individual tax regulations.

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $40-$50, DOE

Responsibilities- Serve as global mobility tax subject matter expert (SME)
- Advise HR, mobility, finance, payroll, compensation, and business partners on assignment cost estimates and tax planning
- Oversee tax equalization processes including collections, payments, and gross‑ups
- Manage shadow payroll arrangements, secondment agreements, and social security agreements
- Provide guidance on cross‑border remote work and international assignment tax policy
- Review vendor hypothetical tax models, invoices, and tax provider authorization lists
- Conduct benchmarking reviews of tax policy provisions
- Monitor global individual tax law changes and assess impact to policy and costs
- Provide reporting, process oversight, and continuous improvement recommendations
- Support technology platforms used for cost estimates and assignment packages
- Minimum 5+ years of global mobility tax experience
- Strong technical knowledge of expatriate and cross‑border individual tax concepts
- Experience with tax equalization, hypothetical tax calculations, and global assignment policy mechanics
- Ability to independently research and interpret international tax regimes
- Extensive consultative experience with ability to provide clear recommendations on complex tax matters
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
