This is an opportunity to be in the middle of the action where you can make meaningful contributions to the company and become an integral part of the accounting team. The individual will spend time in the Financial Reporting group, Financial Systems, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and/or other finance departments taking on a variety of responsibilities. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong proficiency in Excel and financial systems, and a desire to take on significant responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Analyze and document financial results
- Assist with the year-end audit and interim audit procedures
- Analyze fixed asset registers for data integrity
- Assist with monthly PP&E and capex reporting
- Manage tickets submitted by business partners for financial system issues/enhancements
- Maintain process documentation
- Assist with monthly close process
- Collaborate with non-finance departments/cross-functional teams
- Identify areas for improvement and assist with implementation, as appropriate
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by manager
The above responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with documented company policies and procedures. All the above will be accomplished collaboratively but will also provide opportunities for independent decision-making.
Working Relationships: This position will work closely with all Finance Teams and other key business segments/cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor degree (Accounting), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in related field
Minimum Experience:
2-3 years of accounting experience
Preferred Experience:
- Retail industry experience
- Strong practical knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Thorough understanding and application of U.S. GAAP or IFRS
- Experience with Oracle ERP and reporting tools
- Public accounting experience
- CPA or Master's track applicants are preferred
CPA preferred

Travel: No travel required
Hours & Conditions: The position requires reporting to the office three times per week with an option for a hybrid work schedule for two days per week from a home office. The hybrid work flexibility is up to department managers' discretion and requires LST approval.
